Jocop Fish 1

Colouring in is one of the childhood things we stop doing when we get older but it’s so satisfying, and also stopped me snacking, so also helping with the lockdown pounds!

Jo

You are so right Jo about us stopping colouring in as adults. As children it was a joy to get a book to colour, usually Disney characters in our house, and while away the hours colouring in. It’s great to recapture it as an adult and gain the same benefits!

FINLAY: I really enjoyed drawing again , it’s been a long time since I did! The book is very easy to use and it’s easy to have a go with your picture there as a guide, and very relaxing.

Jo

Brilliant interpretation of Finlay and great to see you have introduced your own patterns- you might not have drawn for a long time but the creative gene is still very much there! Well done, I love it

Sarah Lewis

“I feel like I’ve lost my creative mojo lately but having discovered Sue’s beautiful Madhubani colouring book, I’m definitely inspired to want to play again. My mind is free to wander in many creative directions….or just to concentrate on colouring the fabulous drawings and nothing else!
On the practical side, the pages are nice and thick and the colour doesn’t bleed through even with gel pens.”
Sarah Lewis.

Thank you for sharing your lovely picture, so delicately coloured, and your kind words; particularly pleased to hear you found your Mojo! I am delighted to hear the paper holds the colour and does not bleed through! Happy colouring!

Doodle Feather

At last a colouring book with hand drawn pages. Will spend hours slowly colouring these wonderful Madhubani style pictures, Thank you for a wonderful book.

Okay. so it’s not ‘Mona Lisa’ mark two, however spending a few hours doing this colouring  did allow me some respite  from the symptoms of my clinical depression. Whilst it’s hardly a ‘medical trial’, it does help me concentrate on something other than my constant negative thoughts!

Van Man.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts with us. I am so pleased you find it helpful. I love your picture, Mona Lisa, or not. Keep colouring! x

I love this drawing of a cat! I think the designs are very beautiful and you are right colouring them in is so relaxing. Looking forward to hours of relaxation as I work my way through  your lovely book.

Well this is my first attempt at Madhubani and as you can see I have a way to go before I master the technique. I didn’t enjoy doing my own as much as I enjoyed colouring in but I was way out of my comfort zone !

Van Man

I think this is lovely. Your composition is good and you  convey movement in the water; I’m sure I can see the duck bobbing up and down. Well done! As your confidence grows so will your enjoyment! Thank you for sharing.

“WOW! I couldn’t believe how enjoyable and uplifting I found colouring in Finlay, the first of Sue’s many delightful characters and drawings. This is a beautifully illustrated book which I can’t wait to work my way through, hoping I’ll develop some colouring in techniques along the way.”

Aileen T.

That is so great to read because it means my book is fulfilling its purpose!  I think you have done  a great job with this little character, Finlay looks brilliant! I also like the way you have coloured the background giving it texture. Looking forward to seeing the next one!

” Little fishy getting brighter as you come closer, lovely to meet you!”

Jenny K

I love your description Jenny because the character of the fish does gradually evolve as you colour him in, then you finally meet him! A quick flick of his tail and he’ll be off the page!!

Particularly like the varied border colouring and the swirls on the bubbles and his tail.
